Security for Private Clients

We have been authorised to provide payment services since 1st November 2009, when the Payment Services Regulations came into effect. In January 2015 we upgraded to the status of e-money issuer this means we comply with the rules on how we conduct our business, treat our customers and ensure that we protect customer funds at all stages throughout the conversion process.

Check the firm
We are authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) for the issuing of electronic money under the Electronic Money Regulations 2011 [FRN 900204]. Registered in England: No 5544575. We are supervised by the FCA for compliance with the Money Laundering Regulations (MLR) 2007. This means that the FCA has checked that the Foremost Currency Group is properly organised and is run by suitable people who have not been convicted of financial crimes. It also means we have to have enough money on the balance sheet and have proper arrangements in place to protect clients’ money in the unlikely event we get into financial difficulty.

An authorised firm must safeguard your money - this means your money must be kept separate from FCG's money. At FCG we have segregated client accounts . We have a 1A2 Credit Rating from Dun and Bradstreet, the global ratings agency. Our 'DUNS' number is: 347428026.

Trade Associations
The Association of Foreign Exchange and Payment Companies (AFEP) and the Association of UK Payment Institutions (AUKPI) represent money service businesses registered with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and HMRC for the purpose of money transfers. They work closely with the Financial Conduct Authority with regards to the Payment Services regulations, anti-money laundering regulations and industry best practice. The Foremost Currency Group are active members of both AFEP and the AUKPI. Our Managing Director sits on the executive board of AFEP.
